HELPING HANDS - UX MANAGER
IN 2020, I JOINED HELPING HANDS AS A UX/UI DESIGNER, TAKING ON THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR INSTIGATING SIGNIFICANT CHANGES WITHIN THE BUSINESS. COLLABORATING WITH VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS, I FOCUSED ON ENHANCING KEY USER JOURNEYS ON THE SITE. THE INTRODUCTION OF NEW SITE-WIDE TEMPLATE DESIGNS RESULTED IN AN IMPRESSIVE 160% INCREASE IN MOBILE CONVERSION AND A 110% INCREASE FOR DESKTOP.
FOLLOWING A PROMOTION TO UX MANAGER, MY ROLE EXPANDED TO LEAD A GROWING TEAM WITH THE GOAL OF FURTHER ELEVATING SITE-WIDE CONVERSION RATES AND REFINING USER JOURNEYS. UNFORTUNATELY, RECENT INITIATIVES HAVE FACED DELAYS DUE TO DEVELOPMENT BOTTLENECKS, PREVENTING THE DEPLOYMENT OF MY MOST RECENT WORK.

I WORKED ALONGSIDE UK PARTNERS SUCH AS PAULTONS PARK, GO APE, GO HENRY & MORE TO CREATE EYE CATCHING CO-BRANDED CAMPAIGN’S FOR OUR DIGITAL ASSETS ON THE SITE. I ALSO WORKED ALONGSIDE THE TEAM TO REDESIGN KEY PAGES AND JOURNEYS ON THE WEBSITE.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED WORKING ALONGSIDE PARTERS SUCH AS DISNEY, UNIVERSAL, SEA-WORLD AND MERLIN TO PRODUCE SEASONAL AND/OR EVENT DRIVEN CAMPAIGNS. DESIGNING HOMEPAGE CREATIVES, LANDING PAGES, EMAILS, SOCIAL MEDIA ASSETS AND OTHER ONSITE PROMOTIONAL ASSETS FOR THE MARKETING TEAM.
UNIVERSITY - (BA) PRODUCT DESIGN
I STUDIED PRODUCT DESIGN (BA) AT NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY. FOR MY FINAL MAJOR PROJECT I REDESIGNED THE THE INJECTION AND TESTING PROCESS FOR CHILDREN WITH DIABETES. I ALSO WROTE MY DISSERTATION ON TOOLS VS CRAFT, FITTING UNDER THIS NEW WOLRD OF AI.

ITS THE SMALL THINGS 🤏TO GENUINELY CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF A BUSINESS, IT'S ESSENTIAL TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE BUSINESS. THE ROLE DEMANDS NOTHING LESS THAN 100% ATTENTION AND DEDICATION. THERE'S A SENSE OF PRIDE THAT YOU GET WORKING IN HOUSE, WORKING TOWARDS A LARGER GOAL AS PART OF A UNIFIED TEAM OR COMPANY.
FOR ME, COLLABORATION IS IMPORTANT FOR THE SUCCESS OF ANY PROJECT, IT IT BRINGS TOGETHER DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES, SKILLS, AND EXPERTISE. IT PROMOTES A SHARED UNDERSTANDING OF USER NEEDS AND BUSINESS GOALS, ULTIMATELY RESULTING IN A MORE SEAMLESS AND USER-CENTERED DESIGN PROCESS.
